We often hear stories about how ‘boyfriends’ get scared when they hear the news that their girlfriend is pregnant, most often because they feel that they’re not ready to be a father, and this is one of those stories.

Reddit user u/SeniorDingo recently shared that he discovered a woman he dated fell pregnant, and he did not take the news too well. He wrote that he wasn’t ready to be a father, but the woman, who had been on a work visa, wanted to keep the baby. SeniorDingo shared that the woman, named Maggie, kept pressuring him to be in a relationship, and he didn’t want that, and the baby eventually arrived. Although he didn’t want to be a father in the beginning, SeniorDingo fell instantly in love with the baby girl.

One day, though, Maggie told SeniorDingo that she had met someone, and she was planning to take the baby girl with her all the way to the East coast. It’s safe to say that he did not take the news too well (yet again), and what he did in response is something he’s not too proud of. As it turns out, Maggie was in the U.S. on a work visa that had expired a long time ago, so he got her deported and got full custody of the baby. He was now wondering if he did wrong, so he asked fellow Redditors to share their honest opinion. Check out the story for yourself below.

Even though most people would agree that both parents are somewhat of an a-hole here, Redditors almost exclusively voted that he’s far, far worse. Check out some of the most popular responses below, and feel free to share your own thoughts about the story in the comment section.
