Bartending is not an easy job. Besides being an artist when it comes to preparing drinks, you also have to be a therapist, psychologist, a friend, and be perceptive about your surroundings and read the room.
If you ask me, bartenders are the hidden everyday superheroes of our time, and we should give them the credit they deserve.
Case in point, one woman recently shared a simple and effective way of how a bartender kept her safe from a potentially dangerous guy that was sitting across her at the bar.
Laura Motta tweeted her story, and the tweet gained more than 800k likes on the platform. Besides, it also inspired dozens of women to share their own similar stories of how absolute strangers came to their rescue. I used to work as a door guy. If a woman was leaving with a guy and she’s well beyond her limit and can’t stay awake, I’d stop them and tell the guy to call her phone. If he doesn’t know her number or his number isn’t inputted in her phone, she wasn’t leaving with him.

Worked in bars for years. 2 nieces. When they reached the age, I told them listen to me now. Two rules in bars . Never leave your drink. If you do it by mistake get a new one. Two, if 5 arrive together, 5 leave together. Get his number on the way out. No One left behind.

On 1st date with guy and after few drinks he sways to bathroom, barman tells me my date had ordered him to serve me doubles and him singles, he’d done the opposite. I then asked him to serve me non alcohol. Few hrs later when the guy fell off the stool, I left,very much sober.

I love this. I was once at a country bar dancing with a guy and decided I was done after he said something. He grabbed my arm as I tried to walk away. Bouncers grabbed him immediately and threw him out. So thankful for men that watch out for all women.
