‘Reading the room’ can be a vital skill, especially if developed from a young age. It’s often a resemblance of above average intelligence, but you don’t often see a young child making a stand for themselves when faced with discriminating notion.
Stephanie parks Taylor is a proud mom of an 8-year-old son who received a workshseet question whether or not a woman in a drawing as a ‘Miss, Ms., or Mrs.’. The boy had an outstanding answer to the question, and the proud mom was happy to share it with the world.

Just because Sarah appears to be wearing more ‘youthful’ clothing and jumping rope, the students should believe that she’s a child. Yes, because adult women can’t possibly wear ‘youthful’ clothing and jump rope, right?
Thankfully, Stephanie’s son wasn’t too concerned with whether Lara was married or not. He decided that the photo indicates that Lara’s a doctor, and the Internet loved his answer.
Why are these titles still accepted??? Men get Mr. for ALL men. Why does a woman’s marital status/ age have to preceed our name??? These gotta go.

I have always wondered why a woman’s title is determined by whether she has/had a husband while it makes no difference for a man. That seems to be the case for many Indo-European languages. Turkish, for example, doesn’t do that.

Why are women defined by their relationship status in today’s world? I know it dates back to when women were seen as a man’s belonging, but surely this needs to be addressed in today’s society. I am a person and a woman. At work I am referred to as Miss by my choice (teacher).
