Mom Thinks Other Moms Who Drop Off Kids At School Need To ‘Do Better’ With Their Looks

A story from a mother of a 7-year-old who decided to address the mothers who are dropping off their kids to school for looking messy and calling them out to work on it. Also, the story apparently started from a conversation with her daughter who ‘noticed’ that the “other moms look old” and her mother is “really pretty”. Here’s the original story that was posted on Facebook. Buckle up, ladies.

Oh no, you didn’t girl! You didn’t just do this and even shared it with the public!

“My daughter said to me, ‘mommy you are so pretty. My friend’s mommies all look so old. I’m so proud of you and that you are my mommie.”

First of all, which 7-year-old talks in that way? Seems pretty shady, but if she is, she probably heard it ‘somewhere’. You feel me? Also, it’s really bold to assume that all of us have the time, energy or even wish to put on a look every morning for a silly 5-minute drop-off. Some moms don’t even have the physical energy to do this after preparing their very active kids throughout the morning. I wouldn’t spend any time making myself look sexy when I can dedicate that time in making sure my kids have their lunches packed, all their folders and books are there or they are all appropriately dressed.

Next, asking how the husband feels about it? Well, probably he is really grateful that he had one more morning where he doesn’t have to do all of this stuff himself. And I’m pretty sure that he still loves me besides this ‘god-awful’ fact that I don’t decide to iron my hair or put on makeup on a regular Monday morning.

This mother clearly has some insecurities about herself when she could reduce the values of one mother down to her looks. And like that isn’t bad enough, if this story is true, she is also passing down this horrible judging habits to her little daughter. No better mother-daughter activity like judging other women about their appearance at 7 am, am I right? No. This story is wrong on so many levels, it’s ridiculous.

Of course, the story was not well-accepted among other mothers so they shared a piece of their mind in the comment section. You can read some of it below.
