Jace and Jack Grafe are two identical twins, aged 23. Like many other identical twins, they are inseparable from each other. They have the same friends, they share the same interests, and they even work together as correction officers. Well, these twins have something else in common: they both came out as trans together.
Both Jace and Jack were 14 when they first heard of the word ‘transgender’, and they’ve been learning more about trans identities ever since. Although they were both assigned females at birth, they decided to live as their true selves, and transitioned together into boys after they completed high school.
In an interview with Fox 5, Jack said that it’s like being in prison in your own body, and he also spoke about what it feels like to live as the gender you were assigned at birth.
“And the older I got, the harder it was to swallow. And I was like, can’t do this for the rest of my life, I just can’t do it.” – he further added.
Both of them attended a conservative Christian school as children, which made their transition process even harder. They believe that fear is the greatest thing that keeps you away from anything, which is what kept them in the box.
Jack Grafe and Jace Grafe, 23, grew up in a Christian home in Maryland. They currently live in Georgia. Both were assigned female gender at birth and later revealed themselves to one another as transgender when they were teenagers: https://t.co/uQGwYjT9Y9 pic.twitter.com/hUv9V0h1Rt

As soon as they graduated from high school, they decided to live as their true selves. They changed their clothes, cut their hair, and started hormone therapy together at the age of 21.
They both share that the experience would have been much more difficult if they didn’t have each other by their side, and they feel like they’ve saved each other from lots of dark and depressing moments.
Both of them now have their driver’s licenses with male gender markers, and they’re both in loving relationships with their respective partners.
“It’s perfect to me, I’m finally perfect to me,” he affirmed. “I’m just excited to finally go out there and be exactly what I’ve been dreaming about for a long time.” – Jace notes.
