Mat Stevenson is an Australian actor that played in the popular Aussie soap opera ‘Home and Away’, and he recently gained online fame after he adopted his trans daughter’s bestie after she was rejected by her own father.

In the TikTok video that has since been viewed more than 2.7 million times, the dad signed the certificate which states that Belle Bambi is now a part of the family.

The video was shared by Grace Hyland, Stevenson’s daughter, and this is how she captioned the video:

“My BFF’s dad left because she’s trans. So we did this: Dad is adopting her! He’s always supported me, and he wants to support Bambi, too. We’re sisters now!”

We would like to congratulate the happy family, especially considering the fact that LGBTQ+ youth who have a family that affirms their gender identity and orientation are 50 percent less likely to harm themselves.

In compliance with the adoption, Bambi herself posted a TikTok video in which she thanked Stevenson for adopting her.
