Body language expert Judi James claims that Johnny Depp and his firebrand lawyer Camille Vasquez’s intense chemistry in court is just a ploy to ‘destroy’ Amber Heard’s case. In an interview with the Daily Mail, she even compared their intimate display to Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet’s characters in The Titanic.
James analyzed the relationship between Depp and his lawyer in the courtroom during the trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, and she said that Vasquez’s ‘flirtatious’ behavior is likely a tactic to try and boost Depp’s case. The expert explained that the romantic gestures between the lawyer and Depp and helping him to appear more likable.
The rumors were further fueled after a video of Depp helping the lawyer untangle her charger went viral on TikTok, and he was also spotted pulling out her chair for her. The expert, however, explained that all of the amorous moments between the two are likely a plan to make him seem like a ‘romantic hero’, and there’s no secret affair around.
James believes that linking Depp with a ‘fresh, smart, fragrant, and confident-looking woman’ such as Vasquez would destroy Heard’s recount of their toxic relationship.
‘As a dejected, weeping Amber details her relationship with Depp in the witness box, what better weapon to wheel in to try to destroy her version of the marriage than this fresh, smart, fragrant, and confident-looking woman who is also happy to use body language to suggest she is a coyly smitten fan?
Her behavior in court places Depp back in role as the romantic hero. For Depp’s loyal fans these dramatic rituals will seem like validation. “If this smart, beautiful woman thinks he is OK then maybe he is,” will be the implied message.’ – the expert continues.
And while Depp treats his ex like a Medusa that might turn him to stone if he once looks in her direction, he gets to show off all his charm, eye-contact skills, and even protective concern with Vasquez.
The body language expert said that Depp and Vasquez’s goodbye reminded her of the moment when Winslet’s character in Titanic, Rose, lost Jack, played by Leonardo DiCaprio.
However, she’s convinced that this is all a play for Depp to win the case, and it wouldn’t be the first time a legal team has used visual signals to create the strongest non-verbal message they can.
When asked about her rumored relationship with Johnny Depp, Vasquez just laughed at the TMZ reporter, brushed her hair aside, and waved to the fans gathered outside.
