As kids many of us hoped to spend our lives together with our best friends and for these two single moms from New Zealand this childhood dream has become a reality.
After Samantha Best, 24, parted ways with her partner she and her 4-year-old son moved in with her best friend Lauren Robinson, 26, and her daughter Haidyn, age 5.
Since moving in together they live and share responsibilities just like a married couple. They even have a joint bank account that they use for bills and shopping.
Since starting their platonic relationship they are basically inseparable and living has become much easier for both of them.

“It’s so much easier living with Lauren,” she continued. “We’ve been able to split our finances and we are able to help each other with childcare if one of us is busy, the other can pick them both up from school, or if either of us need to go out the other can watch the two children.”
Probably their children benefit the most form this new found family because now they have so much fun together.
For the past couple of years this trend of single moms moving in together is on a constant rise as people expand the notion of family. These families are now known as “platonic life partners”.
As everything that doesn’t fit in our society norms there are people out there with harsh comments about their relationship, but most are supportive.
“People always think we’re together in a relationship, it’s always questioned but we definitely aren’t,” Best said.
Both of them are now taking their time and simply enjoying their new found family. We wish nothing but the best for both of them and their kids.
